Our Self-Defense Weight Training program combines free weights, machines, and resistance bands to enhance strength and endurance while focusing on real-world self-defense techniques. You'll work on refining your form, building functional muscle, and improving your overall fitness, ensuring you're better prepared for both training and everyday situations.
Our Edged Weapons Training draws on militarized skills and fluid movements from the Filipino martial arts, offering a powerful blend of precision, speed, and strategy. In this one-on-one training, you'll receive personalized guidance to sharpen your skills, improve coordination, and master the art of edged weapons for real-world self-defense or advanced martial arts proficiency.
Catch As Catch Can Wrestling is a dynamic fighting style that emphasizes ground control, incorporating techniques like grappling, throws, and pins. Whether you're training for competition or recreation, you'll develop strength, endurance, and technical mastery, making it an ideal choice for both self-defense and improving overall athletic performance.

Mastering just a few basic moves won’t give you the confidence to face any opponent in any situation. Every fight and opponent is different, requiring you to quickly adapt and adjust your techniques in real-time. To be effective, your strikes, covers, ground skills, and weaponry must be delivered with maximum strength, speed, and precision. Additionally, learning to use your surroundings and available tools to your advantage significantly boosts your chances of success in any confrontation.
We understand that successful self-defense training requires consistency and commitment. Mastering techniques, building strength and speed, and developing confidence and awareness take time and repetition. We don’t create the illusion that self-defense can be learned easily or quickly. Instead, our programs are designed to gradually cultivate your survival instincts and sharpen your abilities. To react swiftly and effectively under stress, you must rely on muscle memory—and that only comes from constant training. If you want to avoid freezing or panicking in the face of an attack, regular, dedicated practice is essential.
You’re always learning at TDA—every practice and class matters. During each session, your instructor explains and demonstrates techniques, giving you the opportunity to practice them multiple times. We encourage you to continue your training at home, even if it's just for 5-10 minutes a day. This consistent practice leads to steady growth and skill improvement. Remember, the effort you invest in your training directly influences your performance and progress.

All activities are age-appropriate, and class sizes are always small. We approach each child individually to build up their confidence and skills. Every session makes our little warriors get healthier, stronger, and excited for more!
